Mia, while still a child, had already developed a passion for reading and writing. This is demonstrated by the book “L’Albero di Mia”, written together with Giorgio Placidi and Emanuele Bucci during the months of her illness. This book inspired the idea of ​​the literary competition, created together with the teachers of the Nitti School Institute, the same one that Mia had attended even if only for a few months, with the aim of stimulating the interest of young students in reading and writing .

Every year the children are invited to write their thoughts in prose or poetry on various themes ranging from hospitality to care for the environment and lately, for obvious reasons, to Covid. The writings are collected in a volume (six produced so far), presented in September to coincide with Mia’s birthday. The proceeds from the sale of books go towards research projects supported by the Association.
